Quick, easy dessert pizza recipe (mini fruit pizzas), homemade with simple ingredients. These are the best soft, chewy sugar cookies with cream cheese topping, fresh fruits and caramel sauce.

Guest will be impressed by not only the beauty of these desserts, but the taste as well. The chewy cookie, topped with cream cheese, and sweet fresh fruit and caramel, is the perfect combination of textures and flavors. This Easy Fruit Pizza {Ready In 30 Minutes} is similar but has a different crust. This one is a soft and chewy sugar cookie crust, whereas the other one uses a store-bought cookie dough. This recipe is also mini sized, and the other is a giant cookie that's sliced. Regardless, both are so delicious, but can serve different purposes based on how much time you have and who you are serving.

How To Make Dessert Pizza Recipe From Scratch?

    1. Bake sugar cookies- And cool completely.
    2. Make cream cheese topping- By mixing together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract, Cool Whip.
    3. Frost cookies- Using a spatula.
    4. Top them- With fresh fruits.
    5. Drizzle caramel sauce- Prior to serving.

What To Serve With Dessert Pizza?

Ice cream- Vanilla or chocolate are classic options, but caramel, or any fruit flavored ice cream would be great too.

Whipped Cream- Homemade Whipped Cream is delicious, but store-bought will work just fine.

Puddings– Such as this Homemade Vanilla Pudding or Homemade Banana Pudding.

Sauces– Dulce De Leche or Easy Chocolate Gravy, or even white chocolate ganache or Nutella Syrup will be perfect.

Chocolate chips- Mini size is best. Try dark chocolate, milk chocolate or white chocolate. Shredded chocolate can be used too.

Nuts- Such as roughly chopped almonds, pecans, walnuts, pistachios. Shredded coconut is a great option too.

    Variations

Use pizza dough- The base can be replaced with my Homemade Pizza Dough. It should be baked first, then add the frosting and fruits.

Chocolate/Nutella dessert pizza- Use Chocolate Ganache or Nutella as a topping instead of the cream cheese icing.

Add apples, peanut butter, cinnamon- This is a great option for Fall and Thanksgiving.

Add cherries and whipped cream- Making it a Black Forest style pizza.

S'mores cookie pizza- Use Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting on the cookie, and then add mini marshmallows, and fruit on top. You would also skip the fruit altogether.

Try other flavors of cookie crusts– Such as these Cream Cheese Cookies or these Easy Peanut Butter Cookies.

Add glaze– Thin out jam with some water or juice and brush that on top of the fruits.

Use other frostings– Such as American Buttercream Frosting, Orange Frosting, Maraschino Cherry Frosting, Marshmallow Frosting, Lemon Frosting.

Try a brownie crust– These 3 Ingredient Nutella Brownies would work really well as a base.

Patriotic 4th of July flag pizzas– Use a rectangle cookie cutter. Once the cookies are done baking, decorate with blueberries for the stars and chopped up strawberries for the red stripes.

Rainbow pizzas Decorate the cookies in the shape of a rainbow. Use white frosting or marshmallow for clouds and colorful fruits for rainbow stripes.

Halloween version- Use leftover Halloween candies as a topping.

Valentine's Day version- Use red fruits with heart shaped cookies.

St. Patrick's Day version- Use shamrock shaped cookies with green kiwis ands grapes as the fruit topping.

Tips And Techniques For Sweet Pizza

Use full fat ingredients for frosting- Because that creates the creamiest and richest results. Cool Whip and cream cheese must be full fat.

Don’t frost a warm cookie– It needs to completely cool down or else the frosting will melt and make a sticky mess.

Pat the fruits dry- Because Tthis prevents the cookies from becoming watery and soggy.

How to know when cookies are done? They are done when edges are firm and cookies are golden brown.

Can I use store-bought cookie dough? Yes, you can. Just bake them according to the package instructions, and then assemble according to this recipe.

Make sure all cookie dough balls are the same size- Because they bake evenly and they also make for a better presentation.

Add caramel sauce just before serving- Because if you add it too far in advance, the cookies will end up becoming soggy.

    Storage For Cookie Pizza

Refrigerate– In a sealed container for up to 2 days

Freeze– I don’t recommend this because the fruits don’t thaw well and release too much water, making the cookies soggy and messy.

Make ahead instructions– You can make them 1 day ahead of any event. Keep them refrigerated until you are ready to serve.
