Storage

Refrigerate– In a sealed container for up to 2 days.

Use other fruits as the base– Like pears or Asian pears.

Caramel apple nachos– Use a Caramel Sauce, and then other classic caramel apple toppings like peanuts, sprinkles, or whatever you prefer.

Add cinnamon– Sprinkle cinnamon on top, or even mix it with some sugar to make a cinnamon sugar garnish.

Make it vegan– Use dairy free chocolate chips.

Apple nachos a la mode– Add vanilla ice cream, or whatever ice cream you prefer.

Tips And Techniques For Healthy Apple Nachos

Use a variety of apples– Such as a sweet option like Red Delicious, and a tart option like Granny Smith.

Prep the apples– Make sure to wash, pat dry, remove the core, and slice them into 1/2 inch thickness for best results.

How to keep apples from browning– This is an optional step, but coating the apple slices in lemon juice helps prevent the apples from oxidizing and turning brown.

Warm the nut butters– This makes them a consistency that allows for drizzling so you get an even amount on each apple slice.

Adjust the amount of nut butters and chocolate chips– Add more or less depending on your personal preference.
