Quick and easy candy eyes or eyeballs, homemade with 2 simple ingredients- m&m candies and edible markers. Great for kids Halloween parties.

Honestly, these spooky candies are probably the easiest Halloween treats I have ever made. You only need two things and there are only 2 steps! The best part is watching kids play with them while eating. I know you aren't supposed to play with your food, but in this case I fully disagree. These would make the perfect filling for these Halloween Treat Bags {Candy Goodie Bags}. If you want to take this eyeball theme even further this Halloween, then add this Easy Eyeball Cake {Tutorial} to your party plans.

How To Make Homemade Candy Eyes?

    1. Sort out spooky colors- Orange, yellow and green m&m candies.
    2. Add pupil and squiggles- With a black edible marker.
    3. Put them in a small container- And enjoy!

    Variations For DIY Candy Eyeballs

Gummy eyeballs- Use gummy candies and draw the pupils on them. If you use gummy candies with a hole in the center, add the m&ms to the center as the pupil and draw squiggles with an edible marker.

Make traditional eyeballs- Use white m&m candies. They are seasonal and I have seen them in the grocery stores around Valentine’s day. They come in bags of pink and white so you will have to sort through them, and take out the white ones to use.

Use other round candies- Such as gum balls, Sixlets, Skittles, round mints, Whoppers, Reese's Pieces, Cinnamon candies or any other candy you like.

Use jumbo round candies- To make larger eyes.

Use them to decorate cakes and cupcakes- Use them in place of the candy corns on this Easy Candy Cake or on top of this Halloween Cake {Twizzler Cake}. I even used them on my Monster Cupcakes.

Use them to decorate cookies- Such as these Easy Monster Cookies {Candy Corn Cookies} or add to these Easy Ghost Cookies {No Bake} for even more spookiness.

Tips And Techniques For Homemade Edible Googly Eyes

Where to buy edible markers? You can find them online on Amazon or Wilton's website. You can also check out the cake decorating aisle at Walmart or Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

Highly recommend using a fine tip edible marker- Because it's easier to draw fine details cleanly with precision.

The ink dries quickly- However, until it dries at room temperature, don't clump the candies together in the container.

Storage Of Easy Homemade Edible Candy Eyes

Room temperature- Stored in a Ziploc bag or covered jar for up to 1 month.

Freeze- I do not recommend freezing these because as they thaw, the condensation will make the marker smear and come off.
