Easy Rainbow Twizzler Cake
Learn how to make an easy rainbow Twizzler cake with this step by step tutorial. Great for serving on St.Patrick’s day or rainbow themed birthday parties!
I seem to have an OBSESSION with decorating cakes with Twizzlers and I am sharing this easy rainbow Twizzler cake today.
They are both crazy POPULAR!
Today’s easy RAINBOW Twizzler cake would be so perfect for St.Patrick’s Day or maybe even a rainbow themed birthday party for kids.
I don’t really make a lot of green food for St.Paddy’s Day… that color just GROSSES me out!
But, I am all for rainbow colored treats 😉
The idea for this cake actually came from a reader who saw my Halloween Twizzler cake and said: “You should make a rainbow one!”
I thought it was the COOLEST idea ever and I made a little note for myself to make it for St.Patrick’s day 🙂
And voila… It’s such a HAPPY looking cake… Right?! lol
This is actually a very SMALL banana chocolate chip cake, frosted in chocolate buttercream icing.
I used colorful Twizzlers, seasonal Rolo candies and some silver edible pearls for the decoration.
To make this easy rainbow Twizzler cake, you will need the following ingredients and supplies:
– This cake was really small and only had dimensions of 4×3. You can apply the same tutorial to a bigger cake, if you like.
– On a bigger cake, you will obviously be sticking longer Twizzler pieces. Just remember that you will have to tie a ribbon around the cake to hold all the pieces together or else the Twizzler pieces will keep falling off.
And here are the steps:
Use scissors to cut the Twizzlers.
The length of these Twizzlers should be the same as the height of your cake.
Frost the cake in chocolate buttercream.
Stick the Twizzler pieces around the cake.
Place some Rolo candies on top of the cake.
Also, toss some silver edible pearls to fill any gaps.
And you are done making your own easy rainbow Twizzler cake!
Well, that’s all for today.
If you liked this cake, you may like some of these other cakes that are also decorated with candies…
Until next time, tata my lovelies 🙂
