How To Make Snowman Cookies From Scratch?
- Coat Oreos- In melted white chocolate.
- Lay out cookies- On parchment paper.
- Create facial details- Using mini chocolate chips for eyes and mouth and pumpkin chocolate chip for nose.
- Let cookies set- At room temperature.
How to make melted Snowman Cookies/Biscuit?
Simply add a blob of melted white chocolate onto the parchment paper and place the chocolate dipped Oreo on that. Don't align the chocolate chip features perfectly. They should look like they are melting too.
Variations For Easy Snowman Oreos
Snowman oreo balls- Crush Oreos finely, and combine with cream cheese to create a ball. Then dip the ball in melted white chocolate and decorate with sprinkles and other small candies. You can also try these Cake Truffles.
Snowman sugar cookies- Use this Easy Chocolate Sugar Cookies {Cut Out} recipe or this Sugar Cookies Recipe {Soft & Chewy} recipe with a snowman cutter and then decorate with Royal Icing.
Use candy corn- For the nose instead of pumpkin chips.
Snowgirl cookies- Add a bow on the head, using heart candies and mini red candy balls.
Add piping work- Pipe o hats, scarves, or other accessories you like with Glace Icing (Sugar Cookie Icing).
Try other store-bought cookies- Instead of Oreos, try any other round shaped cookies.
Decorate with fondant- Instead of chocolate, use store-bought fondant or Homemade Marshmallow Fondant.
Tips And Techniques For Snowman Christmas Cookies
Stick decorations quickly before white chocolate starts to set- Because this ensures that they harden into the chocolate and won't fall off.
How to melt white chocolate? You can melt it in a microwave-safe bowl in 1 minute increments, stirring between each heating, until fully melted. You can also melt it in a double-broiler on the stovetop.
How to dip cookies for an even coating? I highly suggest using a fork to do this. The gaps in fork allow excess chocolate to slide off into the bowl, creating a neat and clean coating on the cookies.
Let cookies set and harden fully- This is important because if you remove them too quickly and they are still wet, your decoration and details will be ruined. You could also end up smudges.
Storage
Room temperature- Store leftovers in a cookie jar for up to 3 days.
Refrigerate- In a sealed container for up to 5 days.
Freeze- In a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Simply, thaw to room temperature to eat.
