  1. Mix wet ingredients- This includes mashed bananas, oil, eggs.
  2. Add dry ingredients- This includes cake mix, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder.
  3. Mix– Until combined.
  4. Pour batter– In 2 prepared loaf pans.
  5. Bake– Until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool breads– Until room temperature.

Add nuts– Such as walnuts, pecans, almonds, peanuts, or hazelnuts. They should be toasted and roughly chopped.

Note the long baking time– It takes the full 45-50 minutes to bake bread, so make sure to allow for enough baking and cooling time after as well.

Why is my bread gummy? This most likely means the dough was over-mixed and too much gluten was produced making the bread very chewy. Be careful to not over-mix the dough.

Refrigerate– In a sealed container for up to 5 days.

Room temperature- In a sealed container for 2-3 days.

Freeze– Once the loaves fully cool down, wrap them tightly in saran wrap and put them in sealed freezer bags for up to 1 month. Let them thaw at room temperature for 30-40 minutes and then cut slices with a sharp knife and add toppings.

  • 3 Bananas, Ripe, Mashed
  • 1/3 cup Oil
  • 3 Eggs, Large
  • 1 box Yellow cake mix
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 cup Melted white chocolate , For drizzling on top, Can be replaced with simple vanilla glaze too
  • 2 tbsp Walnuts, Roughly chopped, Toasted, For topping, Optional


  • In a large mixing bowl, add mashed bananas, oil, eggs and mix until smooth.
  • Add cake mix, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder and mix until just combined.
  • Pour batter into two greased and floured loaf pans (Dimensions: 8×4).
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 45- 50 minutes or until an inserted toothpick in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from oven and allow the breads to cool completely.
  • Then, remove from pans and drizzle melted white chocolate on top and sprinkle walnuts. Enjoy!
