Quick and easy banana popsicles recipe, requiring 2 simple ingredients! These homemade popsicles are a healthy snack or dessert with many flavor options.
Whether you are watching your weight or not, these homemade banana popsicles will truly become a favorite! They are refreshing, smooth, creamy, and even kiddo-approved. When I am watching my diet, I only use the main 2 ingredients. However, my favorite way to enjoy them is with a dash of cinnamon and chocolate chips. There are no added sugars, artificial sweeteners or colors. It's as delicious and simple as my Chocolate Banana Ice Cream

Key ingredients
- Greek yogurt- Makes them oh so creamy.
- Bananas- Be sure they are ripe and not green.
Variations
- Add peanut butter- Use ¼ cup-⅓ cup creamy peanut butter in the recipe, depending on how much you like.
- Chocolate version- Don't omit the chocolate chips and then dip the entire frozen popsicle in melted dark chocolate.
- Nutella- Add ½ cup Nutella in the recipe below. You can even dip them in this Nutella Syrup (2 Ingredients) and freeze a second time on a lined pan.
- Add some avocado- Simply blend in half an avocado and change the color and flavor. You may be surprised at how creamy and tasty avocado desserts can be, just like these Fudgy Avocado Brownies.
- Strawberry banana option- Add ½ cup frozen strawberries in the recipe below or use strawberry yogurt instead of vanilla yogurt.
- Use dark chocolate chips- Instead of milk chocolate chips.
- Try different add-ins- Such as sprinkles, shredded coconut, crushed nuts, mini candies, and more.

How to make homemade banana yogurt popsicles?
- Add bananas and Greek yogurt- In a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
- Spoon mixture- Into molds and freeze until firm.
Tips and techniques
- Use ripe bananas- Because they are naturally sweet and you won't need to use any additional sweeteners. Check out my other Easy Ripe Banana Recipes for more ideas.
- Adjust maple syrup or honey- According to your sweetness preference.
- Be sure to taste-test the mixture- Before spooning mixture into molds to make sure the cinnamon flavor and sweetness is to your liking.
- The number of servings you get- From this recipe will depend on the size of mold you are using.
- Greek yogurt can be replaced- With regular yogurt but your they will not be as creamy.
- To release treats from mold- Run them under warm water to loosen.
Recipe FAQs
It's difficult to make them without some kind of mold. If you have ice cube trays, though, you could make mini ones. Otherwise, I'd say just add more milk and make it into a smoothie if no molds are available.
I recommend using pure maple syrup or honey to keep a smoother consistency, but granulated sugar will do the job.
Although you can use these, I don't recommend it, because they get hard and difficult to bite into when frozen.
Storage
- Make ahead- These can be made up to 1 month in advance if kept in the freezer.
- Room temperature- These will obviously melt at room temperature, so not recommended.
- Refrigerate- The fridge is not cold enough to keep these firm, so this is also not recommended.
- Freeze- These can be kept in their molds or wrapped and sealed individually in the freezer for up to 1 month.

The combination of banana with chocolate is unbeatable. I wanted them lighter, so I used plain yogurt and in order to make them sweeter I used milk chocolate chips, the result was awesome !!!! Thanks a lot for the recipe
PS: another alternative which I am going to try is to add a little bit of honey ??
