Quick, easy Halloween pudding cups, homemade with simple ingredients for kids Halloween party. Make Ghost, Jack O'Lantern, Frankenstein, Monster, Dracula.

*Thank you Snack Pack for sponsoring today's post so that I could share these could share this recipe with you. As always, all opinions are mine.*

You have probably seen this sweet treat before. For me, they hold a special spot in my heart because my Mom and I would make these every Halloween. This year, I will be making these for my son just so I can continue the tradition. We will be making five simple designs: Jack O'Lantern, Frankenstein, One-eyed monster, Dracula and a Ghost! These are just as easy to make as my Halloween Candy Eyes (Eyeballs) or these Easy Chocolate Spiders.

You can get very creative with your pudding cup designs. Kids can come up with their own wacky designs too!

How to make homemade pudding cups?

    1. Prepare the pudding or buy Snack Pack cups.
    2. For homemade puddings, color it with gel colors if you like.
    3. For homemade puddings, pour in plastic containers that have been designed with Sharpie marker.
    4. Add final details with pretzels, candies and cookies and you are done.

Variations and Tips for Halloween Pudding Cups

Use store-bought pudding- Because it's so much faster. Some of them are already pre-colored and flavored too.

Only use gel coloring to color pudding- Because the liquid coloring can make the consistency of the pudding thinner. This only applies to homemade versions.

Add final touches just before serving- Any garnish that's added like pretzels, mint leaves e.t.c. should be done at the very end to prevent them from becoming soggy or limp.

Use small disposable plastic cups- So they can be thrown out after kids are done eating them and it's also less clean-up and dishwashing. This only applies to homemade puddings.

Use sharpie markers to decorate only the "outside" of the cups- Because the marker ink is obviously non-edible.

Try another filling- Such as Chia Seed Pudding or Easy Rice Pudding or Homemade Banana Pudding or Coconut Rice Pudding or even colorful jelly.

For store- bought puddings, I used the caramel flavored Snack Pack cups since I really liked their light and dark brown pattern. But, there are so many other flavors that you can choose from. I decorated these with some frosting, Oreo Draculas, gummy worms and bone candies. You can mix in whatever else you like.

    Dracula Snack Pack Pudding Cups

    1. Separate a regular sized Oreo cookie. Break the non-creamy side into half. These will be the Dracula's wings.
    2. Brush some corn syrup near the ends of these wings.
    3. Stick a round Oreo on top of the wings. This will be the Dracula's face.
    4. Separate a mini Oreo cookie. Break the non-creamy side into half. These will be the Dracula's ears.
    5. Stick the two ears behind the face, using some corn syrup or melted chocolate.
    6. Stick two eyeball candies on the face, using some corn syrup.
    7. Use scissors to cut a thin strip of Twizzler. This will be the Dracula's mouth. Stick it below the eyes with some corn syrup.
    8. Use a knife to cut out small triangles of white chocolate. These will be the Dracula's fangs. Use some corn syrup to stick the chocolate fangs below the Twizzler mouth.
    9. Stick a bow candy on the head.
    10. Now, just frost some buttercream icing on top of a Snack Pack pudding cup.
    11. Toss some crushed Oreos, Stick a few bone candies and gummy worms and place Dracula on the top and you are done!

Also, these store-bought cups are packed with as much calcium as an 8oz glass of milk. I had no idea until just a few days ago.

    Storage

Refrigerate-Cover with saran wrap and store for for 2-3 days.

Freeze- This is not recommended because pudding can separate and curdle upon thawing.
