Did you know that white chocolate can’t truly be called chocolate? That's because the chocolate solids have been removed from the product. I found this to be an interesting fact but like everyone else, I still call it chocolate and I think it tastes decadent, especially in White Chocolate Fudge (2 Ingredients), White Chocolate Bark (Easy Toppings), and, of course, today's recipe.

Key ingredients
- White chocolate- Use high quality for the best texture and flavor.
- Heavy cream or condensed milk- Makes them so rich and creamy.
- Vanilla extract- Adds a bit of warm flavor.

Variations
- Roll the truffle in crushed peppermints- This is especially great for Christmas holidays along with all these Christmas Food Ideas.
- Add a few drops of oil-based food coloring- To the mixture and make different colors of truffles, based on the season. For example, use red color for Valentine’s Day and check out these other Pink Desserts for Valentine's Day.
- Add lemon or orange extract- Along with some lemon or orange zest for a citrus flavor.
- Roll truffles in chopped dried fruit or chopped nuts- To give it a chewy and crunchy texture.
- Stir in- Some chopped pistachios and cranberries into the mixture.
- Toss in some desiccated coconut- Into the mixture (I use about ¼ cup), or just roll the truffles in coconut for a tropical flavor.
- Add a few tablespoons of freeze dried raspberries (raspberry powder)- In the mixture to change up the flavor. You can use freeze dried blueberries, pineapples blackberries, and more.
- Stir in additional heavy cream- To thin out the mixture and use it as white chocolate ganache for drizzling on cakes and cupcakes. Top it off on this Pink Champagne Cake (With Strawberry) or this Easy Strawberry Crunch Cake (With Cake Mix) or even these Easy Vanilla Cupcakes (Soft and Moist).
- Roll them in- Chopped nuts, crushed cookies, chopped candies, shredded coconut, dried fruit, sprinkles, cocoa powder, powdered sugar or even granulated sugar.
- Add Funfetti cake mix- Use about a ¼ cup and stir into the mixture. Then roll the balls in sprinkles, which makes them great for birthdays. I also like making this Funfetti Cake or Funfetti Cupcakes for birthdays as well.
- Add some Irish cream liquor- This would be perfect for St.Patrick's Day, much like all these other Green Desserts.

Tips and techniques
- Use disposable gloves when rolling truffles- This will help prevent the heat of your hands from melting the truffles.
- Use a small ice cream scoop- To portion out even-sized truffles.
- If the weather is hot- Work in small batches and keep the rest of the mixture in the fridge while you roll the other truffles.
- Create an assembly line- To make it easier to roll truffles in different toppings.
- Please note that these are much sweeter- Because they are made with sweetened condensed milk rather than heavy cream.
- You must chill the mixture in the fridge- Until it becomes firm or else it will be very difficult to roll into balls.
- The number of truffles you get from this recipe- Will depend on how big or small you like your truffles.
- This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled: To make a bigger batch of homemade truffles.
- If the temperature of the chocolate changes too quickly- The chocolate will bloom. This means that the color of the chocolate will change and spots may appear. The chocolate is still safe to eat, but not as pleasant.
- Be sure to microwave chocolate in increments- This way you won't cook it and turn it into a thick, balling mess.
- Heat treat boxed cake mixes- For an extra precaution in your health and safety.
- Line pan with wax paper- To prevent chocolate from sticking.
