Recipe FAQs
You will want to use high quality, Grade A syrup as opposed to the common "pancake syrup" made mostly of corn syrup. This should be pure, 100% maple syrup.
This happens if there was too much powdered sugar added to the recipe. Don't worry. This is an easy fix. Just add some water (a little at a time) until the desired consistency is reached.
You may not have added enough powdered sugar or maybe put too much water. Just add more powdered sugar to get it to thicken up to what you prefer.
Storage
- Refrigerate- Store in a sealed container for up to 3 days.
- Freeze- Place in an airtight container for up to 1 month. Thaw and enjoy.
- Room temperature- This can be left out for about 3-5 hours before needing to be put in the fridge.
- Make ahead- This can easily be made 1-2 days in advance, if kept in a sealed container in the fridge.

Ingredients
- 2 cups Powdered sugar Sifted
- ¼ cup Maple syrup Not pancake syrup
Instructions
- In a medium size mixing bowl, add sifted powdered sugar and maple syrup.
- Use a hand-held mixer or whisk to mix everything together.
- Mix in some water if the glaze consistency is too thick. Mix in more powdered sugar if the consistency is too thin.
- Drizzle on top of your room temperature cakes and desserts. Enjoy.
Notes
- For a different flavor profile, add extracts like vanilla, almond, coconut or even ground cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice.
