Banana Orange Mango Smoothie

This tropical banana orange mango smoothie is healthy and perfect for breakfast or an after workout snack! It’s so refreshing during the hot Summer days!

This banana orange mango smoothie should prove to people that I eat and drink healthy too…lol.

When you run a blog about desserts, people ASSUME that you eat cakes and pastries all the time and must weigh a gazillion pounds!

Someone out there in cyberspace messaged to ask if I am over-weight :S

Now, I understand people being curious but seriously, that’s just RUDE!

I LOVE desserts and Yes! I eat something sweet every day but I also work out and look after my health.

I try to drink at least one big glass of a healthy smoothie everyday.

It’s usually a fruity one coz the veggie ones have such icky colors! :S

MY OTHER RECIPES

I am always EXPERIMENTING with different fruits and mixing in other ingredients like yogurt, oatmeal, different sweeteners and even protein powders.

This TROPICAL smoothie is one of my favorite Summer smoothies.

It tastes so good that you can’t even tell that you are drinking something that’s packed with numerous vitamins and minerals.

It’s really REFRESHING and the vibrant orange color just brightens your day.

Even hubby approves but then again, he approves of anything that has mangoes in it…lol.

banana orange mango smoothie 5To make this banana orange mango smoothie, you will need the following ingredients:

1 banana
1 cup fresh or frozen mango pieces
3/4 cup orange juice
1 cup yogurt
1/4 cup quick cooking oatmeal (optional)
1 tsp sugar or honey (optional)

Notes:

– I prefer using freshly squeezed orange juice but you can use store-bought unsweetened orange juice too.
– I like to use fat-free greek yogurt but you can use whatever flavor or type of yogurt you like.
– Sometimes, I add a 1/4 cup of quick cooking oatmeal to increase the amount of fiber in this smoothie but keep in mind that this will change the texture of this drink and make it thicker.
– You can adjust the amount of sugar or honey, based on your preference.

And here are the steps:

Step 1:
Add all the ingredients in a blender.

Step 2:
Puree everything into a smooth mixture.

Step 3:
Pour into a big glass and enjoy!
