These healthy chocolate fudgesicles are incredibly FUDGY and CREAMY.
They are made with ingredients that are actually GOOD for you.
Best of all, they have NO corn syrup!
I still DON'T understand the need to use corn syrup in frozen treats but it's a very common ingredient in almost all store-bought frozen treats.
That's such a SHAME because you really don't have to add all that junk, as you can see in my easy chocolate popsicle recipe.
How to make homemade fudgesicles?
The process is very SIMPLE. Mix together milk, cocoa powder, honey and yogurt until smooth and creamy. Pour in popsicle molds and freeze until they harden. Then, remove from molds and enjoy!
What is a fudgesicle made of?
Different recipes requrie different ingredients. My healthy fudgesicle recipe is made with 4 main ingredients: milk, cocoa powder, honey and Greek yogurt.
Are fudgesicles vegan?
You can make vegan chocolate fudgesicles, depending on the ingredients you use. Honey can be replaced with maple syrup. Whole milk/Skim milk can be replaced with coconut milk or almond milk. Greek yogurt can be replaced with vegan yogurt.
Here are some TIPS for making simple chocolate fudgesicles:
- Use any type of milk you like (whole, skim, almond, coconut, soy e.t.c).
- Use Greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt since it enhances the rich and creamy texture.
- DON'T replace honey with sugar since the flavor would change and ratios of other ingredients would need to be adjusted.
- Maple syrup can be used INSTEAD of honey, according to your preference.
- Use UNSWEETENED cocoa powder or else the fudgesicles will become too sweet.
- If you don't have ice cream or popsicle molds, use paper cups and popsicle sticks.
Well, that's all for today.
