Here are some TIPS for making quick homemade pizza dough:
- Use bread flour if you like a CRISPY crust.
- Use all-purpose flour if you like a CHEWY crust.
- You can also use a combination of all-purpose and whole wheat flour. I like to add some whole wheat flour during the kneading process.
- You MUST use traditional active dry yeast in this recipe, not instant rapid rise yeast.
- Make sure your yeast has NOT expired. If it's too old, it won't bloom/ poof and your dough won't rise.
- Water must be warm and not hot. The recommended temperature is between 100 degrees F- 110 degrees F. Very hot water kills the yeast. Use a thermometer for best results.
- Rising time can VARY depending on how hot or cold your kitchen is. If if it's warm, your dough will rise quickly. If it's cold, it will rise slowly.
- Divide the dough into 6 or 7 smaller portions and make small individual personal sized pizzas.
- Divide the dough into 3 portions and you can make 3 thin crust pizza dough balls (12-14 inches).
- You can add some dried herbs and seasonings to make this dough even more FLAVORFUL.
- This dough is great for breadsticks, cheesy garlic bread and cheese sticks too.
- This dough is also great for grilling and BBQ.
- To make this pizza dough WITHOUT mixer, let the yeast bloom first. Meanwhile, mix together the flour, salt and herbs/seasonings in another mixing bowl. Add the yeast mixture and oil. Mix with a wooden spoon until dough starts to come together. Then, transfer it onto a floured surface and knead into a smooth ball. Make sure to oil your hands first to prevent stickiness. Place dough ball in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise.
- LEFTOVER baked pizza can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

The process is very SIMPLE. Start off by dissolving the yeast, sugar and warm water in a bowl until the yeast blooms and the water becomes foamy. Cover bowl with saran wrap and let it rise for 20 minutes. Divide the dough into two balls. Roll it out and spread it on greased pizza pans. Add pizza sauce, toppings and cheese. Bake for about 20 minutes and enjoy!

I haven't tried that to know what would happen but if you try it, I would love to hear how it turns out.

I used this dough to make grilled pizza exactly as it was. I cut cook time in half because the dough cooks faster on grill. Cooked one side 5-7 minutes, removed from grill, dressed pizza, cooked other side for 5-7 minutes. It was delicious! Best pizza dough recipe...I won't use another!

I made this half and half with organic white flour and with an accident flour/grain called Einkorn. Most beautiful and best crust I’ve ever made! Loved it so much and it’s way faster than most!!

This turned out amazing! I used part of it to make taco roll ups (filled with taco meat and cheese) and my 1 year old loved them! Usually have had difficulty with pizza dough in the past, but this recipe was easy and turned out absolutely perfect. This definitely will be my new go to recipe.

I have been using this recipe for about a year now and we use it for our meatless Mondays. We are a family of five - 13, 14, 18, and my hubby and I and one batch is perfect for all of us! Thanks for this!
Kathryn
I love this recipe! We like a thinner crust so next time I may divide in thirds. Delicious and easy!

I have made countless pizza dough recipes some have failed others are great. This recipe leads the pack for versatility. Today I used it to make mozzarella string cheese stuffed garlic breadsticks. The only changes I made were to add I tlbs Italian seasoning and I tlbs granulated garlic to the dough. They came out of the oven golden and fragrant. I basted them with my homemade roasted garlic and butter while hot and served them with my lasagne. My wife ate 2 and she's a tiny eater. I plan on using this recipe for panzarotti, pizza bombs, chicken ceasar wraps, Stromboli anything else I can think of stuffing as well as traditional pizza. It's wonderful to work with. Tops on my list and now written in my go to book of tried and true recipes. Thank you

It is now my go-to pizza dough recipe --- hubby and grandkids approved !

Just my opinion everyone, I think there’s a teaspoon too much salt. I made only for 1 pizza. This is the first time I’ve used this recipe and I’ll adjust next time, but over all the crust comes out very well. Great texture and firmness.
Yesenia
I used all purpose flour and the consensus from the family was “thick but GOOD!”
Would definitely use this recipe again, maybe with bread flour next time. Quick and easy, good instructions!
