Chocolate Pudding Pots

Serve quick and easy chocolate pudding pots on Earth day or Spring parties. It’s a fun way to teach kids about science and plants.

I am obviously a big CAKE ADDICT but I also have a weakness for these chocolate pudding pots.

Smooth and creamy intense chocolate pudding with crushed Oreos… Yum!

Turns out my little one is quite FOND of pudding as well.

I AVOID giving it to him coz he gets a caffeine KICK and starts bouncing off the walls…hahah.

Anyways, today I will show you how to serve my favorite chocolate pudding as POTTED PLANTS.

Don’t they look just like real potted plants?!

I saw them at a birthday party ages ago and I thought it was the COOLEST thing ever plus my inner botanist loved the idea!

So, I made them for Zomppa magzine’s Spring issue.

You can check out my simple instructions on pages 31-33.

The theme of this issue was “GROWTH” and what better way to show growth than by using plants as an example! Right?

The pudding represents the soil.

The crushed  Oreo cookies represent the stones and pebbles.

And the stalks of mint leaves represent the actual plant.

  1. Start off by preparing my favorite vegan chocolate pudding.
  2. You can also use your own recipe or even buy store bought chocolate pudding, if you like.
  3. Pour the pudding into your clear glasses. Fill about halfway.

  4. Allow the pudding to cool down for about 15 minutes.
  5. Then, chop up some Oreos roughly and toss them on top of the chocolate pudding.
  6. Chill the pudding cups in the refrigerator.
  7. Just before serving, wash and dry your mint leaf stalks.
  8. Push a few stalks into your pudding cups. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Tip: Inserting the mint leaf stalks into the pudding cups just before serving prevents them from going limp.
