Easy Oreo fudge recipe, homemade with simple ingredients. This microwave cookies and cream fudge is rich, creamy, full of white chocolate and Oreo cookies.

This is the best, most creamy and delicious dessert you will make this season. I love to make a batch for our house and then one as a gift for others during the holidays. Teachers, friends, family, guests, neighbors, they all feel so loved when you make treats from scratch especially for them. We really love Oreos in our house. At this point it could probably be qualified as an obsession, and with how many varieties there are of this cookie out on the market, I am guessing we are not the only ones. Let me introduce you to even more ways to enjoy this cookie! Try this Oreo Truffles {Oreo Balls}, Chocolate Covered Oreos {Dipped Oreos}, or Refrigerator Cake {Chocolate Oreo Icebox Cake}.

How To Make Easy Oreo Fudge Recipe From Scratch in Microwave?

    1. Microwave ingredients- This includes white chocolate chips, condensed milk, butter.
    2. Mix in Oreos- Roughly chopped is best.
    3. Spread mixture- Evenly in a pan.
    4. Chill- Until firm.
    5. Cut- Using a sharp knife.

Why Is My Fudge Grainy, Chunky and Crumbly?

This means it has not been heated enough. Continue heating and stirring until it becomes smooth. Another reason could be the chocolate overheated and your mixture is burnt with little burnt bits. If this is the case, there is no way to fix this. Toss it all out and start again.

    Why Didn’t My Fudge Set?

This could mean the ratio of chocolate chips to condensed milk is off, and there is too much milk in the fudge. Make sure to measure accurately when making this recipe. It could also be that it hasn't chilled long enough to set. Leave it to chill in the fridge longer, and check again later.

How To Melt Chocolate In Microwave?

In a deep, heat safe microwavable bowl heat the chocolate at 30 second intervals, stirring between each heating, until chocolate is smooth. Another option is the double boiler method on the stovetop.

Variations For White Chocolate Oreo Fudge

Add nuts- Such as chopped walnuts, peanuts, pecans, cashews, or almonds.

Try other cookies- Such as Milanos, chocolate chip cookies, Nutter Butters, butter cookies, sugar cookies, Biscoff, or whatever else you prefer.

Mix in sprinkles- You can use seasonal store bought sprinkles or these Homemade Sprinkles.

Use semisweet chocolate chips- Instead of white chocolate chips.

Mix in chopped up candy bars- Such as Twix, Snickers, Kit Kat, Milky Ways, or another family favorite. This will be a little tricky because if the fudge mixture is too hot, the chocolate add-ins will melt. Make sure the mixture is not too hot nor too cold.

Swirl white and milk chocolate- To make a marbled design.

Add extracts- Such as mint, caramel, or vanilla for added flavor.

Add some peanut butter chips- Instead of melting them with the chocolate, stir them in with the Oreos.

Add chopped pretzels- For a salty flavor and added crunch.

Add mini marshmallows- These should be added along with the Oreos so they don't melt and stay intact.

Tips And Techniques For Cookies And Cream Fudge

Use unsalted butter- Because this prevents the treat from becoming too salty.

Use sweetened condensed milk- This cannot be replaced with evaporated milk, heavy cream, or creamers because it just does not yield the correct consistency.

Don’t cut slices until the fudge fully sets- Because it will make an ooey gooey mess and it would also be impossible to cut neat pieces.

Use a razor sharp knife for cutting- Because this makes for perfect even slices.

Make it in a saucepan on stovetop- Be sure to use a nonstick saucepan to prevent burning and sticking.

What size pan to use? I use an 8 or 9 inch square pan for this recipe. 8 inch pan yields a thicker fudge and 9 inch yields a thinner/flatter fudge.

Line the pan– Use wax paper because this prevents the mixture from sticking to the pan. Overhang the wax paper on the sides so that it’s easy to remove.

How to package fudge? This post, 9 Easy Ways To Package Edible Gifts, will provide many options and ideas on how to package the fudge. Fudge boxes can also be made as a holiday gift as opposed to Christmas Cookie Boxes {Homemade Gifts}. Follow the same idea, but with homemade candies instead.

    Storage of Homemade Fudge

Refrigerate- In a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Freeze- Double wrap and store it in an air tight container to prevent freezer burns. It can also be stored as a whole block and then sliced after being thawed.
