Use this step by step tutorial to make easy Star of David cupcakes for Hanukkah. The toppers are made with homemade marshmallow fondant and edible markers.
I am taking a little BREAK from Thanksgiving and Fall posts today to share these Star of David cupcakes!
Now, I am not Jewish but if I were, I would GLADLY serve these at my Hanukkah party.
Everyone seems to be BUSY these days, making plans for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
But, it seems that Hanukkah is NOT getting as much attention as it rightfully deserves.
I think ALL holidays deserve attention and should be RESPECTED and CELEBRATED.

I am sure kids and adults would both LOVE them. Right?
I kept the colors very light, which gives these toppers a very ELEGANT touch.
Just plain blue stars were looking very BORING.
So, I added simple designs on the stars with a black edible marker.
That took it up a notch and I am very happy with how they turned out.
And I especially LOVE how this photograph turned out!
To make these Star of David cupcakes, you will need the following SUPPLIES:
Light blue marshmallow fondant
Black edible marker
Star of David cutter
Note:
Use 50/50 or gum paste instead of fondant if you want these stars to dry quickly. Fondant can take 3-5 days to fully dry and gum paste usually dries in 24 hours.
These are the INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1:
Roll out some blue fondant.
Use a Star of David cutter to cut out a few pieces.
Step 2:
Use a black edible marker to draw little dots so as to give your star more detail.
Step 3:
Or your can draw little stitch marks so as to give your star more detail.
Let these pieces dry at room temperature until they harden and then place them on top of your cupcakes!
And you are done!
Well, that's all for today.
Until next time, tata my lovelies!
