Ingredients

  • 3 Egg whites Large
  • 6 oz Granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C.
  2. In a clean bowl whisk the egg whites until they form soft peaks and the bowl can be held upside down without them falling out.
  3. Slowly add the sugar, whisking throughout.
  4. Once glossy and thick, turn out half on a greaseproof paper and make a circle of approx. 7-8 inches, using a metal spoon.
  5. Next spoon or pipe 6-8 round blobs around the edge of the circle so that they join up once cooked, creating sides.
  6. Place in the oven and immediately turn oven down to 140°C.
  7. Bake for 1hr 15 minutes.
