Ingredients

  • 1 cup Marshmallow fondant In various colors of your choice.
  • 12 Gold Oreos Or any other cream filled cookies of your choice.
  • 2 tablespoon Corn syrup Can also use buttercream icing or jam

Instructions

  • Roll out fondant.
  • Use a round cookie cutter (about the same size as your cookies) to cut out circles of fondant in various colors.
  • Brush some corn syrup on top of the cookies and stick the fondant circles.
  • Let the fondant-covered cookies sit out for 10-15 minutes at room temperature, uncovered and away from splashes of water. This will allow the fondant to dry a little and make it easier to write on them.
  • Use a black edible marker to write your resolutions on top of each cookie.
  • Place these cookies in a cookie jar. Wrap a ribbon around it with a cute tag that says: "This year, I will..."

Notes

  • Edible markers can be found online or in the cake decorating aisle of Hobby Lobby, Michaels or Walmart.
  • Allow the fondant to dry a little before you start writing on them. If  the fondant is too soft, the marker tip will start indenting the fondant and make a mess, as you write.
  • Use a fine tip marker for the cleanest sharpest writing.
  • If you are short on time, use store-bought colored fondant.
