Ingredients

Instructions

  • Bake cakes and allow them to cool completely.
  • While cakes are baking and cooling, prepare the frosting.
  • Place one cake on a serving dish.
  • Use a spatula to spread blue icing on top of the cake.
  • Place the other cake on top of this icing. Press gently to secure into place.
  • Frost the entire cake smoothly in blue icing.
  • Use a toothpick to mark the mouth area.
  • Remove some of the icing from this mouth portion with a spoon.
  • Use a spatula to spread black icing in this area. It doesn't have to be neat and perfect.
  • Fill a piping bag with blue icing and attach the grass tip (Wilton Tip # 233).
  • Start piping from the outer edge of the cake and work your way inwards until top is fully covered in "fur." Do not pipe in the black mouth portion.
  • Roll out white fondant and cut our two circles with a cookie cutter. Pipe black circles for eyeballs.
  • Stick these eyes near the top of the cake.
  • Place a partially broken chocolate chip cookie near the mouth and toss crumbs around the mouth.
  • Pipe around the base of the cake for neatness. Enjoy.

Notes

  • Read all my tips above.
