Bake cakes and allow them to cool completely.
While cakes are baking and cooling, prepare the frosting.
Place one cake on a serving dish.
Use a spatula to spread blue icing on top of the cake.
Place the other cake on top of this icing. Press gently to secure into place.
Frost the entire cake smoothly in blue icing.
Use a toothpick to mark the mouth area.
Remove some of the icing from this mouth portion with a spoon.
Use a spatula to spread black icing in this area. It doesn't have to be neat and perfect.
Fill a piping bag with blue icing and attach the grass tip (Wilton Tip # 233).
Start piping from the outer edge of the cake and work your way inwards until top is fully covered in "fur." Do not pipe in the black mouth portion.
Roll out white fondant and cut our two circles with a cookie cutter. Pipe black circles for eyeballs.
Stick these eyes near the top of the cake.
Place a partially broken chocolate chip cookie near the mouth and toss crumbs around the mouth.
Pipe around the base of the cake for neatness. Enjoy.
