Easy Eggnog French Toast

Quick and easy eggnog french toast recipe, made with simple ingredients. This delicious Christmas breakfast is a great way to use up leftover eggnog.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Eggnog
  • 5 Eggs Large
  • ½ teaspoon Rum extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg powder
  • 12 Slices Toast Or slices of french bread
  • Syrup For drizzling on top
  • Butter For topping

Instructions

  • In a wide/shallow baking dish, add eggnog, eggs, rum extract, nutmeg and whisk everything until smooth.
  • Dip each side of bread in this eggnog mixture and very gently, lift it and place it on a hot buttered griddle. 
  • Cook one side until golden brown. Then, flip it and cook the other side until golden brown. 
  • Top it off with thin slices of butter and maple syrup or pancake syrup.
