Quick and easy homemade sloppy joes recipe from scratch with simple ingredients. This easy one pot meal and 30 minute dinner idea is classic comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Minced
  • 1 Onion Small, Finely chopped
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 8 ounce Tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt To taste
  • Pepper To taste
  • 8 Hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large non-stick pan on medium heat. 

  2. Add garlic onions and saute until golden brown.

  3. Add ground beef and cook until it's brown.

  4. Drain all the fat. 

  5. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. 

  6. Mix everything together. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

  7. To thicken it further, cook for a bit longer without the lid. 

  8. Serve in hamburger buns and enjoy!
