These fruit loops chocolate cookies have a rich chocolate flavor with a fruity and crunchy top. Easy recipe & great for rainbow parties or St.Patrick's day

Ingredients

  • cups All-purpose flour
  • cups Granulated sugar
  • ½ cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 cup Butter Unsalted
  • 2 Eggs Large
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp Almond extract
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips You can add more, if you like!
  • 2 cups Fruit Loops Roughly chopped

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add butter and sugar. Cream the butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy
  • Add eggs and extracts and mix again.
  • Add cocoa powder and mix again.
  • Add flour (1/2 cup at a time) and mix until everything is just combined.
  • Now, add the chocolate chips. At this point, I like to just use my hands to knead the dough and make sure everything is thoroughly combined. The dough will be very thick but don’t worry… that’s the way it’s supposed to be
  • Make balls of this dough and roll them on a tray filled with crushed Fruit loops. You will have to really press the cookie dough balls into the Fruit Loops so that they stick to the cookies
  • Place these Fruit Loop covered chocolate cookie dough balls on a cookie tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Enjoy!

Notes

- If the dough is very crumbly and you are having a hard time making balls, then add a little milk (1 tbsp at a time) and knead the dough again.
