  • 3 Cloves Whole
  • 1 Cinnamon stick About a 2 inch piece
  • 3 Cardamom pods
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger powder
  • 2 cups Milk Whole
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Loose black tea
  • 3 tbsp Sugar Granulated


  1. Use a coffee grinder or a mortar to crush/grind together cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger. 

  2. In a large non-stick saucepan, add milk, water, loose black tea, crushed spices, sugar and cook on medium heat until it comes to a boil.  

  3. Then, lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. 

  4. Increase the heat again and let the tea cook until it comes to another boil. 

  5. Lower the heat again and let it simmer for 2 minutes. 

  6. Remove from heat and pour into cups through a fine sieve. Enjoy!
