- 1 cup Shortening
- ¾ cup Blackberry puree Seedless. Use thick store-bought puree. It can also be found on Amazon. Homemade puree will have to be cooked down to become thick
- 4-6 cups Powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon Lemon zest or extract Optional
