Key ingredients for funfetti dip
- Cream cheese- I recommend using full fat as opposed to fat free.
- Cool whip- This makes it fast and easy.
- Funfetti Cake Mix- You can use your favorite brand.
- Sprinkles- The traditional ones for this recipe are multi-colored jimmies.
- Yogurt- Greek yogurt or whole milk make the creamiest dip.
- Milk- Whole milk brings in the most richness.

Variations
- For 3 ingredient version- Mix together 2 cups vanilla yogurt, 8 oz. Cool Whip and 1 box Funfetti Cake mix. You can also make this Funfetti Cake/Confetti Cake (From Scratch) if you are feeling up to it.
- Try other cake mix flavors- Such as chocolate, strawberry, spice, lemon, or vanilla.
- Try other add-ins- Including various sprinkle options. You can also use chopped up candy bars or Oreos, mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, or chopped nuts.
- Switch out the cool whip- With Homemade Whipped Cream. Though the Cool Whip is easier, they both are tasty.
- Add food coloring- This will change the whole Funfetti vibe, but can be a fun addition to any themed party or holiday event. I know not everyone enjoys coloring, but it is fun to add during holidays to make things like Christmas Pinwheel Cookies.
- Mix in some marshmallow fluff- For a light and airy consistency and added marshmallow flavor. PS, if you love this flavor, check out my Easy Marshmallow Frosting (With Fluff).
- Chocolate version- Mix in cocoa powder for a chocolatey taste. Just remember that this will change the color to brown.
- Add pudding mix- Use 1 packet or just a few tablespoons. Any flavor will do.

- Combine- Cream cheese, yogurt, and Cool Whip.
- Mix in- Cake mix and milk until smooth.
- Toss- Sprinkles on top and enjoy.
Tips and techniques
- To prevent bleeding colors- Toss sprinkles on top just prior to serving and don't over-mix once added.
- Use full fat dairy ingredients- To get maximum creaminess.
- Heat treat the dry cake mix in the oven- As a precautionary treatment to avoid harmful bacteria since this is a no-bake dessert.
- Use room temperature ingredients- So that all ingredients mix well together.
- Make a bigger batch- By doubling or even tripling all the ingredients.

Recipe FAQs
Spread the dry cake mix onto a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for about 5 minutes or until an internal temperature of 160-165 degrees F is reached.
There are so many possibilities! Try animal crackers, graham crackers, or Nilla Wafers for a start. You can also put a healthy spin on it by using fruit like apples or strawberries. You may also like pretzel sticks for a sweet and salty pairing.
If the batter is too thick for your liking then add more milk a little at a time.
Storage
- Room temperature- This should be left out no more than an hour or two. Otherwise keep it refrigerated so it doesn't go bad.
- Refrigerate- Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Freeze- No recommended, because dairy ingredients do not thaw well.
