My goodness! I have been tweaking this recipe for SOOOO long.

Now, I know there are MANY recipes for old fashioned peanut butter chocolate chip cookies out there.

I have seen countless VARIATIONS of classic peanut butter cookies online and in recipe books…

Some recipes are gluten-free and made with no flour.

Others have no sugar (which were awful!).

There are also some vegan ones with no eggs or milk.

After trying A LOT of recipes, I have developed the BEST peanut butter chocolate chip cookies recipe.

These cookies are perfect: CRISPY and CRACKLY on the outside and CHEWY on the outside.

They are bursting with peanut butter flavor, thanks to my use of peanut butter and real peanuts.

These classic cookies are also made with both, granulated sugar and brown sugar, which results in the most AMAZING texture ever!

Even though I love peanut butter, I remember going through a phase where I started hating it *GASP*.

During my college days, I ate an insane amount of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

By the time I graduated, I was SICK of them!

But the weird this is that a few months later, I was back to LOVING peanut butter again…lol.

Best Easy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies 2To make the best peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, you will need the following ingredients:

1 1/3 cups flour
1 /2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup salted peanuts
1 cup mini chocolate chips
1 large egg
1 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp vanilla extract

And here are the steps:

Step 1:
In a mixing bowl, cream together peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar.

Step 2:
Add egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.

Step 3:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.

Step 4:
Dump this dry mixture into the went mixture and mix until just combined.

Step 5:
Now, stir in peanuts and chocolate chips and chill the dough for 3 hours. 

Step 6:
Scoop out small portions of the dough and roll them into little balls. 
Place them on a cookie tray, lined with parchment paper.

Step 7:
Bake at 35o degrees for about 10 minutes or until the edges have set and are golden brown.
And you are done!

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar.
  2. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Dump this dry mixture into the went mixture and mix until just combined.
  4. Now, stir in peanuts and chocolate chips and chill the dough for 3 hours.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until the edges have set and are golden brown.
